To receive a certificate, all of the following criteria must be fulfilled:
1) The test taker must achieve a result of at least 60% for the whole examination. 2) The test taker must achieve at least 40% in the Subtest Reading, 40% in the Subtest Writing, 40% in the Subtest Listening and 40% in the Subtest Speaking.
If a test taker achieves a result of less than 40% in one or more of the subtests and/or achieves less than 60% of the total number of points, then the test taker has failed the complete examination. In order to successfully pass the Written Examination, all of the following criteria have to be fulfilled:
1) The test taker must achieve a result of at least 60% in the Written Examination. 2) The test taker must achieve at least 40% in the Subtest Reading and at least 40% in the Subtest Writing.
In order to successfully pass the Oral Examination, all of the following criteria have to be fulfilled: 1) The test taker must achieve a result of at least 60% in the Oral Examination. 2) The test taker must achieve at least 40% in the Subtest Listening and at least 40% in the Subtest Speaking.
The grade is then calculated according to the following table:
